Fresh-Fused Flavours Olive Oils

We take only the  freshest fruits and  herbs, and cold press them with our just-harvested Makris olives.

Olives crushed with whole fruit and herbs from local Greek farms. The healthiest way to flavour any olive oil. We produce five different flavours.

Basil: Fresh basil from Crete fuses beautifully with Makri olives, compelling you to find ways to use it daily in your kitchen. Try it as a dip, with pasta, on pizza, in salads, sauces and pesto.

Table 6: A beautifully clear green-gold liquor with a bright olive and gentle basil aroma.  Some soft fruit is present, followed by a pleasing creaminess on the palate.  The basil is very mild, but well sustained and in balance with the delicate oil.  We anticipated a more resonant basil flavour but did enjoy the overall delicacy and balance of this oil.

Table 3: An attractive olive oil, golden coloured and with viscosity. There is both basil and grass in the aroma, both of which carry through to the olive oil which in itself is quite light. We think the basil works but sugges using a slightly more peppery oil.
