Future chefs visited Kyklopas for an insightful introduction to the world of extra virgin olive oil.
At the Kyklopas olive mill, we welcomed the culinary students of IEK Alexandroupolis along with their instructors, Pavlos Vasiliadis and Christos Tsetos, for an insightful introduction to the production of extra virgin olive oil. The future chefs observed the olive-milling process up close and we discussed how important it is in cooking to understand the origin and quality of every ingredient, starting from its very first stage. The visit concluded with an olive-oil tasting, where they tried Kyklopas early-harvest olive oil, learned to identify different characteristics and categories of olive oils, and explored our full product range and its culinary uses.
