Garlic sauce with walnuts, bread, extra virgin olive oil and olive oil dressing with garlic.

Skordalia with walnuts and bread – the perfect complement to the fried Cod traditionally enjoyed in Greece on Greek Independence Day (25 March).

Ready in 5 minutes, with an unforgettable aroma and flavour.

If you use Kyklopas olive oil dressing with garlic, there is no need for garlic if you want a more discreet aroma.

If you do add both Kyklopas olive oil dressing and garlic, you will only need a small finely chopped clove that you can further crush with a fork together with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vinegar.

In the meantime, place two slices of bread in water until soaked through and squeeze out almost all the water.
 

Blend together:

  • Wet bread
  • Garlic mixture as described abvove
  • 250g walnuts
  • 70ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • Salt

Once blended, adjust the salt and vinegar to taste

Some water can be added one tablespoon at a time if necessary

Serve with Kyklopas olive oil dressing with garlic
