Welcoming Students from the University of UNISG, Italy
It was our great pleasure to welcome postgraduate students from all over the world to our facilities, who visited our region as part of their studies at the University of UNISG in Italy.
The visit began with a tour of our olive groves, where the students had the opportunity to see up close ancient olive trees of the local Makri variety—living pieces of our history and heritage. We discussed the cultivation of this specific variety, its unique characteristics, and its significance for our region.
This was followed by a tasting session of extra virgin olive oil made from Makri olives, where the participants discovered the intense aromas, fruity flavor, and balanced character that make it unique.
During the visit, we presented the history and philosophy of our family business, which is built on respect for nature, heritage, and quality.
The experience concluded with a guided tour of our olive mill, where the students observed firsthand all the production stages of Makri olive oil, from receiving the harvest to the final storage.
