KarantINA (Quarantine in Greek): The dolls and their stories that helped the SOS Thrace Children's Village!
KarantINA (Quarantine in Greek): The dolls and their stories that helped the SOS Thrace Children's Village! The dolls of the Evros journalist Thanasis Tsolakis is his own personal Quarantine Calendar/Journal.
Inspired by the social media post by olive grower Christos Kenanidis, where the Quarantine dolls helped with the olive harvest and came to Kyklopas Mill to press their oil, we thought it would be a good chance to spread the news about this endeavour by journalist Thanasis Tsolakis that took place in the first Quarantine in March. Each of these dolls corresponds to each of the days we "stayed home" starting on Monday 23 March when the traffic restriction measure which ended on Monday 04 May was imposed for the first time. Seven more dolls were added to for the first week of the lifting of the restrictive measures – for the first week of the period during which the "stay safe" government campaign was launched.
These dolls helped the SOS Thrace Children's village, since they encouraged those who adopted these dolls to make a donation to this non-profit organization. So we're back to "staying home" and a chance to us all to get creative!
