Oregano Care - A Student Virtual Company in Alexandroupolis!
Twenty-six students of the 2nd Lyceum of Alexandroupolis, believe that in the current economic crisis in Greece, the solution lies in the exploitation of natural local resources through the development of new businesses. This was the reason for the creation of their own business, Oregano Care.
Utilizing local products, they created two amazing products - Organic Moisturizing and Anti-oxidant Hand Cream and Organic Anti-Dandruff Soap!
The hand cream contains oregano essential oil from the local island of Samothrace, which has strong antioxidant and antimicrobial properties thanks to the phenol and flavonoids it contains, but also anti-psoriatic and antifungal properties. Shea butter, rich in vitamins A, D, E and F, gives it intense antioxidant, anti-aging and deep moisturizing properties. It is suitable for all skin types, genders and ages, even for people with acne, eczema or psoriasis. It has a fresh and distinctive aroma.
The anti-dandruff soap also has anti-acne properties, as it also contains oregano essential oil from the local island of Samothrace. It is a 100% organic soap with traditional organic raw materials: extra virgin olive oil and caustic soda (potash). It is made using the cold process, as it is the best method for the production for high quality soap, since the time required for the maturation of soaps means that the essential oil yielsd 100% of its beneficial properties.
What is also impressive is that the packaging of the products can be ‘read’ by the blind. The students wanted raise awareness of accessibility issues that people with visual impairments face when it comes to everyday consumer products.
It was our great pleasure to contribute to this incredible project by donating the olive oil needed for this project.
