Indiana University Students in Evros – A Life-Changing Experience at Greece’s Borders
A remarkable group of students from Indiana University, under the guidance of their professor Olga Kalemtzidou, is currently in Evros for an interdisciplinary internship focusing on nutrition, local cuisine, and agriculture. For two weeks, the students will have the opportunity to explore the cultural and gastronomic richness of the region up close.
As part of their visit, they went to the Kyklopas olive mill, where they learned about the production of extra virgin olive oil, participated in a tasting session, and became acquainted with the values of quality, tradition, and sustainable farming.
Their experience in Evros represents a living dialogue between knowledge and practice, bridging two worlds: academic education and the authentic Greek way of life. 😊
